Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE Brasil Energia is elected one of the best CEOs in Latin America

ENGIE Brasil Energia’s Chief Executive Officer, Eduardo Sattamini, was elected one of the top CEOs in Latin America in the best executive ranking published by  Institutional Investor magazine, a leading international publication and considered a benchmark in the global financial market. This is one of the most respected accolades in the capital markets both in Brazil as well as abroad. The company’s Chief Financial Officer, Marcelo Malta,  and the investor relations manager, Rafael Bósio were also recognized for their work in their various areas of activity.

Institutional Investor’s survey polled more than 600 financial managers  and market research analysts, to verify those CEOs with the best performance in Latin America. Among the characteristics analyzed by the publication are transparency  and disclosure of information to the market,  access to the principal executives, structured and constructive conferences and the capacity to respond to external demands. ENGIE Brasil Energia was deemed the best company in the electric power sector and was ranked first in seven of the eight categories assessed: best chief executive officer, 2nd best chief financial officer, designated to Marcelo Malta, best investor relations company, best investor relations professional to the manager of Investor Relations, Rafael Bósio, best investor relations team, the company offering the best analysts’ day (or capital markets day), the company with the best environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics.

“The award is a reflection of our company’s strength  and recognition of the contribution of each one of our employees and our controller in making our company a benchmark in Brazil and Latin America”,  points out Sattamini who ranked in fifth place among the 16 best CEOs in Brazil. Sattamini has been chief executive officer of ENGIE Brasil Energia since July 2016. Joining the company in May 2000, he leads the operations and growth of the  electric power generation and transmission in Brazil. He held the position of Chief Financial Officer of ENGIE Brasil Energia from 2010 to 2016, accumulating the position of Chief Financial Officer of ENGIE Brasil up to January 2017. Sattamini also worked for 15 years in the area of Transportation and Shipbuilding as Managing Director and Director of the Shipbuilding Industries Association. Sattamini graduated in economics from PUC-RJ  and has a Master’s qualification in Management from the London Business School – LBS.
