ENGIE Brasil Energia receive certification for its Integrated Management System for the 20th year

ENGIE Brasil Energia’s Integrated Management System (SIG) has been certified by Bureau Veritas Certification. The scope of this certification encompasses the NBR ISO 9001 – Quality Management; NBR ISO 14001 – Environmental Management and ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management. For 20 years now since 2002, the Company has received this certification.

In 2021, with the inclusion of the Jaguara and Miranda plants in the certification, the processes of power generation of all the Company’s hydroelectric plants as well as the remote operations of eight plants, including Jaguara and Miranda, are also certified.

The receipt of certification is conditional on complying with all the normative requirements comprising the SIG. Certification is a guarantee of compliance of the processes in relation to requisites established  by the ISO (regulatory body), all applicable municipal, state and federal legislation as well as internal policies and norms.

“This certification is important because it engenders the trust on the part of the clients, partners and regulators that the procedures adopted by the Company are structured according the best practices of management and sustainable development, as part of independent certification with international recognition”, points out Eduardo Sattamini, Chief Executive and Investor Relations Officer at ENGIE Brasil Energia.
